BMW Sales For February
The BMW brand has officially announced their sales total for the month of February and the brand is showing an impressive 14.5% increase over February 2014. The overall total for this past month came to 25,201 units sold.
“In spite of ferocious cold and mountains of snow in so much of the country in February, our customers proved they could overcome and made it possible for BMW to post a new record for February sales,” said Ludwig Willisch, President and CEO, BMW of North America. “Improved availability of the always popular X5 and the strong and growing interest in our 2 and 4 Series cars are good indicators of what’s ahead.”
February BMW Highlights:
- Sales of the i3 reached 1,089 units
- Sales of the X5 increased by 42.5% with 4,149 units
- Sales of the 6 Series increased by 112.1% with 1,237 units

Three Classic Films Featuring BMW Models
BMW brand vehicles have made their way onto the big screen more than once being driven by action movie heroes in car chase scenes. BMW has also made an appearance as simply a vehicle of luxury amongst some of the more smooth characters in hollywood blockbusters. Here are three films in which a BMW model was front and center:
The World is Not Enough – BMW Z8
This model was the preferred mode of transportation in this classic James Bond film. While those who have seen the film know that this vehicle has an unfortunate end, it still looks fabulous being driven around by Pierce Brosnan for the majority of the movie.
Ronin – BMW E34 M5
In this film there is a classic car chase involving Robert DeNiro’s character Sam in a Peugeot 406 and Natascha McElhone’s character Deirdre in the BMW E34 M5. This scene lasts more than five minutes and shows off the impressive capabilities of this model.
Transporter – BMW 735i
In this film, Jason Statham’s character is known for his incredible skills as a bodyguard who is hired to “transport” valuable cargo. Throughout the first film he is seen driving around in a BMW 735i as he goes about on his dangerous mission.

Tuning Program For BMW X4 Unveiled
The new tuning program for the BMW X4, created by Japanese Tuner 3D Design was recently revealed. This all-new model will feature a variety of stylistic upgrades that enhance both the look and sound of the new X4.
A few of the visual upgrades include aluminum sporty pedals, a carbon fiber front lip spoiler, 3D Design-branded floor mats, roof and trunk spoiler, new aftermarket wheels, carbon fiber trim and a rear diffuser.
Additional features such as performance exhaust system with dual twin tailpipes work to help improve the sound acoustics of the vehicle.
BMW Introduces 2016 BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe
BMW North America recently introduced the 2016 BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe. This all-new model has been given a facelift with redesigned features such as a new kidney grille and front spoiler. The new spoiler has been designed not only for a stylish new exterior look, but to also allow for more effective air flow to the radiator cooling systems.
Power is provided in this new model by a 4.4L V8 Bi-Turbo V-8 Engine that generates 600 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque paired with an ALPINA SWITCH-TRONIC 8-Speed Sport Automatic transmission. Additionally, this model has a top speed of 200 mph and can go from 0-60 in just 3.6 seconds, making its the brands fastest-accelerating BMW ALPINA model in history.
BMW enthusiasts will be able to begin placing their orders for this all-new model in March with the first set of deliveries scheduled to begin sometime in June.
January Marks an Increase For BMW Brand Sales
Throughout the month of January a total of 18,981 BMW vehicles were sold. Compared to the 18,253 units sold last January, this is a 4.0% increase.
“Coming after a record December and a record 2014 year-end result, the January numbers are a solid start for the new year and I am confident the trend will accelerate in the months ahead,” said Ludwig Willisch, President and CEO, BMW of North America.

Brown offers a Y Generation perspective on several of today’s new technologies garnering an impressive following of over 2 million subscribers.
