A total of 27,755 units were sold by the BMW brand in the U.S. during August according to BMW of North America, LLC. During last August, the brand’s sales only reached 27,213 units, making this year’s total a 2 percent increase. Along with the increase in monthly sales, BMW saw an increase for year-to-date sales as well as sales rose 5.9 percent up from last year to reached 223,348 total units sold so far this year.

“Even without Labor Day weekend as part of the month, the solid August results for both BMW and MINI continue to prove the strength of consumer demand and underscore the momentum BMW Group has shown throughout this year,” said Ludwig Willisch, President and CEO, BMW of North America. “With the launch of the all-new BMW 7 Series getting underway and the new BMW X1 also on the horizon, I’m expecting a strong finish in the remaining four months of 2015.”

BMW August Sales:

  • Sales of the 3 Series increased by 24 percent with 10,163 units
  • Sales of the 5 Series reached 4,012 units
  • Sales of the Z4 increased by 7.9 percent with 123 units
  • Sales of the X1 increased by 47.2 percent with 2,317 units
  • Sales of the X3 increased by 5 percent with 2,127 units
  • Sales of the X4 increased by 31.3 percent with 453 units
  • Sales of the X5 reached 2,803 units
  • Sales of the X6 increased by 1540 percent with 443 units
