The blockbuster Mission Impossible series is set to release another installment this summer when Mission Impossible 5: Rogue Nation opens in theaters on July 31.  Anyone who saw that last movie knows BMW models were the main mode of transportation for many of the films stars. In fact, the fourth film features models that had not even been released yet such as the 6 Series convertible in the i8 concept. In the newly released trailer for the fifth movie, we can see that the new film will once again be quite BMW heavy.

In the new trailer, we see an F30 BMW M3 being driven by Tom Cruise’s character Ethan Hunt along with a BMW X5 and a series of BMW S1000 RR motorcycles. Since these movies are best known for their incredible action and car chase sequences we can be sure that these will not be the only BMW appearances throughout this highly anticipated film.

Check out the trailer above to get a glimpse of these gorgeous cars along with a first look at the new MIP: 5.

BMW recently released a series of commercials featuring the all-new BMW X5. These commercials were specifically designed to highlight the third row seating capability found in this luxurious Sports Activity Vehicle. These commercials show a family of four riding around in their X5, while the grandmother sits in the third row. In each of the three released advertisements, the grandmother offers her own opinions on the “fancy” modern features found on this model and compares them to tall tales about what she had growing up.

The theme of the new advertisements is meant to highlight how the third row seat is the perfect place for backseat drivers. Check out all three spots in the videos below to get a humorous look at some of the advanced features and technologies that the BMW X5 is equipped with!

Seven years ago, BMW first introduced the innovative new X6 series, revolutionizing the auto industry with the first-ever Sports Activity Coupe. This proved to be a successful venture since its initial release, worldwide sales have reached nearly 250,000, which is impressive considering that this model was a first of its kind. Now, the brand is working to update the line with the release of the first model from the second-generation line.

Recently, BMW Blog Romania sat down with one of the main designers of the new X6, Tommy Forsgren to discuss the new design elements that we can expect to see on the newest edition to this dynamic family of models. In the interview, Forsgren discusses the process of creating this all-new model and the inspiration that they took from other designs and put into the remodeled look of the new X6.

BMW brand vehicles have made their way onto the big screen more than once being driven by action movie heroes in car chase scenes. BMW has also made an appearance as simply a vehicle of luxury amongst some of the more smooth characters in hollywood blockbusters. Here are three films in which a BMW model was front and center:

The World is Not Enough – BMW Z8

This model was the preferred mode of transportation in this classic James Bond film. While those who have seen the film know that this vehicle has an unfortunate end, it still looks fabulous being driven around by Pierce Brosnan for the majority of the movie.

Ronin – BMW E34 M5

In this film there is a classic car chase involving Robert DeNiro’s character Sam in a Peugeot 406 and Natascha McElhone’s character Deirdre in the BMW E34 M5. This scene lasts more than five minutes and shows off the impressive capabilities of this model.

Transporter – BMW 735i

In this film, Jason Statham’s character is known for his incredible skills as a bodyguard who is hired to “transport” valuable cargo. Throughout the first film he is seen driving around in a BMW 735i as he goes about on his dangerous mission.
