WardsAuto presented the BMW 7 Series with recognition in their first-ever 10 Best User Experiences list. This now makes this model one of only three vehicles to be included on both this list and the 2016 10 Best Interiors list that Wards released in the spring. This also adds to the long list of accolades that the 7 Series has received since it was first introduced earlier this year. Wards evaluated a long list of vehicles from all different manufacturers in order to narrow down their list to the top ten vehicles that they felt offered the best overall experience to drivers and passengers. A few of the factors that the editors considered when evaluating these vehicles included how appealing the materials were, how easily users could connect their smartphone with the vehicle, and how intelligent the advanced driver assistance technologies were.
According to the WardsAuto editors, the BMW 7 Series excelled in all of these areas setting a new precedent for factors such as comfort, seamless intelligent connectivity, innovation, and intuitive operation. Editors were especially impressed with the BMW Connected app, and the removable 7” BMW Touch Command tablet which is found in the rear seat of this model.

2017 BMW X1 Page Coming Soon
Great news for everyone from Flemington, Clinton, Lambertville, and Hopewell, NJ! We now have the new and exciting 2017 BMW X1 right here at our dealership. The third sales quarter for the year has come to a close and the BMW brand has sold a total of 230,133 units so far in 2016. For just the month of September, total sales reached 25,389 units. The number-one selling model for September was the 3 Series reaching a total of 7,433 units sold for the month. That was almost twice as high as the next two bestsellers, the X3 with 3,829 units (a 26.2 percent increase) and the X5 with 3,749 units (a 48.5 percent increase). Additionally, the 7 Series had the most significant year-over-year increase with sales up a whopping 796.3 percent to reach 1,201 units sold for September.
“Once again, our Sports Activity Vehicles (SAVs) are leading the way, accounting for 44% of BMW September sales, the second month in a row for such a percentage,” said Ludwig Willisch, President and CEO, BMW of North America. “At the same time, I am also pleased to see demand for our flagship 7 Series continuing to increase with solid numbers over a year ago.”
Additional Sales Results:
- i8 sales came to 159 units
- 2 Series sales came to 977 units
- 4 Series sales came to 2,289 units
- 5 Series sales came to 1,521 units
- 6 Series sales increased 4.2 percent to reach 276 units
- Z4 sales increased 3.1 percent to reach 99 units
- X1 sales increased 190.8 percent to reach 2,463 units
- X4 sales reached 400 units
- X6 sales increased 81.4 percent to reach 604 units

New Short Films “The Escape” To Be Released By BMW
BMW wants to put the emphasis back on the fun and excitement of driving with the return of their short film series starring Clive Owen. Back in 2001 and 2002 BMW released eight short films as part of a series called “The Hire” which features Owen as “the Driver” who was hired by different individuals to perform quite a few shady tasks. Each of the spots was directed by a well-known name, including famed director Guy Ritchie. He directed episode four which was probably one of the most popular of the series since is co-starred his then-wife Madonna as a spoiled pop star that Owen’s character had been hired to drive to a concert.
What made these spots so unique was that they each featured a different BMW vehicle and all of the emphasis was put on the driving and maneuvering abilities of the vehicle. The brand strayed from the traditional advertising forum of focusing on the more luxurious elements such as design and technology features. Instead, none of the specific features of any of the vehicles are put into focus, you are just enjoying the story and the impressive driving skills of Owen’s character when he is behind the wheel of his BMW.
Fifteen years later BMW is looking to return to that successful format with the release of a new series of videos called “The Escape” Owen will be returning as the mysterious “Driver” of the new episodes which will also feature fellow actors Vera Farmiga, Dakota Fanning, and Jon Bernthal.

The BMW brand made quite the statement when it released the vehicles in its i lineup. The all-electric BMW i3 and i8 have taken the brand to a whole new level in terms of automobile production and in the overall mission for increased stability. These vehicles have inspired people throughout the automotive field who are looking to take what BMW has done and create their own form of a sleek and stylish stability enhancement. Recently the BMWi3 provided inspiration on a whole new platform, fashion design. Fashion Designers Daniela and Annette Felder created a special show in order to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their fashion collaboration and they took inspiration from the BMW i for the creation of a special carbon fiber dress.
The two sisters run the London-based design company Felder Felder and they teamed up with BMW to create this sustainable anniversary collection by using only upcycled and sustainable fabrics in the materials for the clothing. The feature piece of this entire collection is the BMW i-inspired “Carbon Dress” that was created with carbon fiber materials from the brand’s electric vehicle program. The duo used carbon fiber materials in 97 percent of the dress giving it not only a sustainable quality but a striking appearance due to the metallic look and finish of the material.
“The carbon fabrics are amazing and unlike anything we’ve used before – we are honored to be given access to them before anyone else. The woven fiber allows us to do more with the designs and push the boundaries of sustainable fashion. It adds amazing structure and the frayed carbon looks so great as tassels. We can’t wait to show everyone the collection,” said Daniela and Annette Felder.

At the 2016 Paris Motor Show the BMW brand made quite a statement with their vehicle lineup including the all-new BMW i8 Protonic Dark Silver Edition! This sleek and stylish new vehicle takes the signature look of the innovative i8 and kicks it up a notch with a darker exterior color that truly enhances the look and feel of this vehicle. This new edition has the i8 completely adorned in a dark grey exterior color with a Black Belt that provides a stunning two-toned appearance. This color scheme enhances the signature futuristic body lines of this vehicle and its already impressive Gullwing doors.
BMW plans to release this vehicle in a limited production run like they did with the Protonic Red Edition. The brand is scheduled to begin production this December and then discontinue the run sometime in early 2017.
