Not only have we received this impressive distinction but we have won twice as both BMW Dealer of New Jersey and BMW Dealer of the United States! The Dealer of the Year Program has been designed to provide recognition to dealerships throughout the United States and Canada who have excelled in customer service and overall customer satisfaction throughout the year. DealerRater bases these awards on the online reviews that customers posted on DealerRater.com.
The recipients of the Dealer of the Year Awards are dealerships that have received the highest PowerScore™ for their brand on state/provincial as well as national levels. The PowerScore for each dealership is calculated based on the average DealerRater star rating and the number of reviews written about the dealership in the past calendar year.

In order for a dealership to even be considered for a Dealer of the Year Award, they must meet a certain set of criteria which includes:
- Minimum of 25 reviews on DealerRater for the 2016 calendar year
- Average minimum star rating of 4.0 out of 5.0 on DealerRater (calculated quarterly)
- At least one review on DealerRater per quarter during the 2016 calendar year
- Must not have been blacklisted within the 2016 calendar year
In addition to the DealerRater of the Year Awards we are also pleased to announce that we have received their Customer Satisfaction Award. These awards are complementary to the Dealer of the Year Award and all recipients must meet the same requirements and a few additional requirements including:
- Top 10% U.S. franchise dealers based on their PowerScore
- Top U.S. used car dealerships based on their PowerScore
- Top Canadian car dealerships based on their PowerScore
