BMW recently released one of their latest teaser videos for the BMW M2. The video features quick shots of an M2 going for a joy ride around a skid pad, as well as quick shots of an M2 going around a racetrack. Designed for both the streets and the track, the M2 also takes parts from the M4. It takes the brakes and some subframe parts from the M4, along with the same transmission options and electronic differential; however, it will not have a drivelogic controller.

The 2016 M2 will be outfitted with a 3-liter, 6-cylinder engine that can push out 365 hp and 343 lb-ft of torque, giving the M2 the ability to go from 0-60 in just 4.2 seconds. The engine will also have both pistons and cylinder liners from the M4 as well as the oil sump and pump. Expect to see the M2 for sale in spring 2016 with price information available soon.
