Three different BMW models were named as the top model in their segment in the 2015 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS). J.D. Power selects the model rankings in this study by using customer responses regarding their experiences with their new models within the first 90 days following their lease or purchase. Overall, over 84,000 customers participated in the survey between February – May of 2015. For BMW, this year provided impressive results as not only were three models at the top of the segments, but the brand also ranked at number 6 amongst all automotive brands.
“IQS is the leading indicator of customer delight in the initial phase of ownership as it measures not only how well our vehicles perform but also how well our dealers are doing in demonstrating the functions of the new vehicle,” said Ludwig Willisch, President and CEO, BMW of North America. “The model rankings show improvements across the board from existing to new models with the clear challenge being to improve and simplify technology.”
