The 2017 BMW 5 Series Hybrid was recently spotted out testing in Germany and the spy shots of this newest hybrid have been released. With the usual heavy camouflage, it is difficult to ascertain any distinguishing design features but we can tell that this new model is a sedan and that the charging port is placed right behind the driver’s side wheel. Additionally, this model is expected to be powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine along with an electric motor generating approximately 300 hp.
Rumored features on this all-new model include inductive charging technology, a new iDrive system with touchscreen and gesture-based functions and autonomous functions such as the ability to have the vehicle park itself, overtake for the driver and change lanes.
