BMW M1 Concept Car

In the years since the start of BMW there have been several different concept cars developed. A few of these concept cars did make it through to become a production model, but there have also been a few that didn’t. The first of these creative concepts that never made it past the concept stage was the M1. This was a sleek looking and beautifully designed car that eventually became the base concept for all future M-line models including the new BMW M5. The original M1 model was not only enjoyable to look at but offered the speed and power that many enthusiasts crave. Unfortunately the price tag on the original model was higher than customers were willing to pay at the time and so the model never fully took off. Back in 2011 BMW created a M1 remake concept model to pay homage to the beauty and innovation of the original design, but the concept was never taken into production.

BMW - Helping Environmental Sustainability

BMW is a company that is not only dedicated to giving you the best vehicles, but it is also committed to helping the environment. Every year the company plays its part by using methane gas from a local disposal area at its Spartanburg plant, rather than using natural gas. This spares the atmosphere 17,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions a year. When the Spartanburg Plant was built in 1993, it was designed to have a 9.5-mile pipeline from the Palmetto Landfill to the facility where the BMW Z4 and X5 are built. This recycled methane gas provides 50% of the total energy for the plant and helps keep energy costs low. BMW’s efforts to help the environment are not just taking place at this plant. In the past 10 years, the manufacturer’s global production network has reduced CO2 emissions by 30%. BMW vehicles are not only among the finest out there, but they are also made by a manufacturer that believes in sustainability.

Power and Precision - the 2015 BMW M4

The first ever 2015 BMW M4 proved itself to be a worthy part of the BMW M family. It did this by making its way through an exciting and unique course created almost completely out of current and classic BMW M vehicles that were donated from fans. BMW M vehicles from every generation were provided by owners from all over the country to be part of this experience. The vehicles were arranged together to form the shape of the M series logo, and precision drivers Matt Mullins and Chris Forsberg drove the new M4 around it in an exhilarating fashion. You’re going to be amazed when you watch the video of it above. You can get your 2015 BMW M4 at Flemington BMW where we serve Flemington, Clinton, Lambertville and Hopewell, NJ.
