• Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol premieres in the U.S. on Monday, December 19th at the Ziegfeld Theater. It opens nationwide on Wednesday, December 21.

• Several BMW vehicles - including the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics and the BMW 6 Series Convertible are driven by Tom Cruise’s character, Ethan Hunt in the film and prominently featured in several action sequences.

• The Vision EfficientDynamics car featured in the film is the precursor to the BMW i8, which will also be featured on the red carpet at the U.S. premiere.

• The BMW i8, along with the BMW i3 are the first two vehicles from BMW’s new visionary and sustainable BMW i brand. The fully-electric BMW i3 Concept and the hybrid-electric BMW i8 Concept will represent the first purpose electric and electric-hybrid vehicles to be made primarily of carbon fiber when they become available in 2013 and 2014, respectively.

• Tom Cruise actually climbed outside the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, 120 stories up.

• Tom Cruise does ALL of his own stunts – including driving.

• This is the first film actually shot in Dubai, with the permission of the government.

• The film was directed by Oscar winner Brad Bird and co-stars Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) and Paula Patton (Precious).

• Paula Patton made a special appearance at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November on behalf of BMW to unveil the BMW i3 and i8 with BMW of North America CEO and President, Ludwig Willisch.

• This is the fourth Mission: Impossible film.

• BMW provided vehicles for use on the set while shooting the film.
